i know this is one for motoring but i just want a quick response if anyone knows. ive got a knocking sound under the bonnet and my dad says its the tappits (not sure on spelling). is this an expensive job to fix? thanks.

First check you oil level. if thats ok then it's your tappets, if you know someone who's good with cars ask them to change them otherwise the garage will charge you an arm + a leg

It depends what type of tappets you have, If its just a case that they need adjusting then its a fairly cheap job.
