Hi Cruella, I've just logged on to leave you a message wishing your hubby all the best for Wed and saw your message, thanks for asking, I wasn't very pleased with the way things went this morning, I didn't like the consultant I saw and she also told me my lungs were in a bad way which was a thing I'd already told the other oncologist I didn't want to know just what treatment was available. I've got to have more blood tests, scans and xrays and go back on the 12 of May, The last time I saw the nice oncologist he said that I would be starting treatment more or less straight away but I couldn't get a straight answer out of this one! it just seemed she wanted rid of me and get the next patient in, Anyway that's about it so I've got another long wait. I hope all goes well on Wed, did you manage to find out whether you can stay there while hubby is having his treatment?Let me know how you get on. Best wishes to you both.

I was wondering all day how you got on.
I am so sorry the way you were treated.
I thought the Oncologist you saw the last time re-scheduled so that he could talk with you personally.
Doctors are very truthful nowadays and feel that every patient wants to know all the details. They can be so hard at times, but they must see so many patients every day, telling them the same thing.
It could be that they are waiting for the MRSA to clear before they start treatment.
Anyway, I am really so sorry at your news.
Hopefully the Radiotherapy will start soon after all your tests.
I just wish you had been treated by the Professor that carried out my operation. He was so positive and a real gentleman. I could not have wished for better.
Hubby gets his operation Friday. No, I don't stay at the hospital, as it is a big teaching one. Best allow them to get on with it, then over to me to nurse him back to health for another three months.
I do hope that you have family or friends that you can talk to about this. It does help so much.
