If anyone can help me, it confirms two things: the internet is frikkin'amazing and whoever gets to answer the questions correctly is an 80's music genius!!
In the late (?) '80's a song featured on our SA Top 20. I fell in love with it and it followed that it was one of my first slow-dances ever with my first true love (altogether now: hhhhhhhhhh")
I don't know the artist, I'm not sure of the title (FOR YOU,maybe?) and I don't know all the lyrics!!
Without being able to SING it to whoever reads this, the lyrics (chorus) went something like this:
For you, I would (something) (something)
For you, I would (something) (something)
and so it went on....
As im usally top dog on 80,s im finding this one a little hard but if you can give me a little more i should be able to help..
Was it a group/man/women singer ?
Was it a love song ?
And when you say late 80,s could it be early 90,s ?
Nope to all of the above.
I gave Songbird a listen...great song but not the one I'm looking for. Also not Meatloaf or Bryan Adams.
If memory serves me correctly, it was def. late 80's (still around the time vinyl 7"singles were big) it was either a male solo artist or a band with a male leader singer.
It was a love song, kind of synth-pop....
It COULD be FOR YOU by SNOWY WHITE but now I'm having a hard time finding it to give it a listen.
I've tried Limewire, iTunes and Bearshare.
Any other suggestions?
I found it, I FOUND IT!!!!
