This is the man who responded to a question about international law with this response, "International law? I better speak to my lawyers" (source: http://www.commondreams.org/news2003/1212-09.htm)
This man doesn't have time to worry about the little things like laws, the constitution, or democracy. Besides, even IF he believed laws weren't meant to be broken, that wouldn't rule out changing them. With Ashcroft on his team (not to mention the senate, house, and soon the supreme court as well) anything is possible (patriot act III, IV and V).
As for those who worry this could be changed by Congress, allow me to put your fears to rest. If such a law were passed to allow more than two terms, Dubya would have to face off against not John Kerry or Al Gore, but William Jefferson Clinton, who would so soundly kick his slack-jawed, moronic rear back to Texas that you folks would hear the impact there in the UK.
