Why so many police?
I appreciate that the people appearing in court accused of the murder of Rhys Jones would attract a lot of public attention, I cannot understand why there was so much police presence.
According to the News, there were twenty police cars and vans lining the street near the court, ten officers with metal detectors at the court entrance and outside the court area there were seven police officers, plus two dog- handlers with Alsatians.
If a very small percentage of the above police presence were patrolling the streets of problem areas, we wouldn't be having so many court cases of this nature in the first place.....

Its hard to believe that these bits of kids seem to be able to run rings around the police. I have a lot of sympathy for the police. If left to get on with the job I am sure they would be able to sort them out, and if sorting them out meant giving them a damned good hiding then so be it. We are so wrapped up in PC (pardon the pun) and human rights etc. The criminals have nothing to fear, nothing to lose.
