I have had 3 Sony Erickson k800i (contract) since they came out and never had 1 problem, and if I do, I have 2 spare ones as back up. : - )

They are really good in my opinion.

Although I am an Apple Mac user, I have a Nokia N95 8GB which I think is very good, albeit, as with most bits of modern (non- Apple) technology the manual is a cure for insomnia or only for someone with a doctorate in advanced mobile telephonics.

That having been said, and depending on the urgency from your point of view and the depth of your pockets, I would wait to see June out to see what Apple produce with the next generation of iPhones, which almost certainly will be 3G plus all sorts of other goodies,

i'm not getting one just at the moment, later in july, and see if i kind find any decent phone on ebay

Go for the N95. A good deal will get you a free 'phone and a short (12 month tie-in). takes good quality pics has a radio, MP3 player, Download maps and use the SatNav. Will play video and dvd. What more could you need? Mine's brilliant.
