Alians?

Assuming you mean aliens, yes. Anyone from a foreign country is classed as an alien. If you mean "space aliens" then it's likely but no-one can be sure.

One phrase that comes to mind is "The surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that it has never tried to contact humans".
Aliens,
Yes, I would be 99.99% sure>
there are BILLIONS of galaxies each containing BILLIONS of stars and each having a solar system. It would be very very absurd if we considered ourselves to be the only life-form in our vaaaast universe.
To explain the above posts we need to discuss the requirements for life, namely a breathable atmosphere (to the aliens), and liquid water on a habitable planet. I will not go into the impossible equation here, but clever scientists (even cleverer than us ABers) have calculated that there could be up to 10,000 planets in this galaxy alone with life on them. This galaxy (the Milky Way) is one of up to 175 billion galaxies, so the chance of life in the universe I would imagine would be almost certain.

Is there perfect spelling on AnswerBank? That's much more doubtful.
If ...

1. Space is infinite; and

2. There is any other life out there whatsoever ....

Then ...

There are not only aliens, but there are aliens who look like us, one of whom looks like you, and has your family, and is probably having what you are having for dinner.

Why?

Because if there is one form of life, then there are an infinite (not just lots, but INFINITE) number of opportunities for a variation in the life form. An infinite number will be less like humans. An infinite number will be more like humans. Of those infinite number who are more like humans, there will be an infinite number of variations, an infinite number of which will be more like you.

This multiplication will continue for ever, and ever, and ever. The process will not stop until it reaches you !! somewhere out there.

And ... if that version of you is different fro the real you in any way whatsoever, there will be another infinite number of variations even further away which will eliminate those small variations.

Why is this concept hard to accept? Because our minds can't readily accept just what infinity means. We can cope with very, very, very big, like the known Universe, but we struggle a bit with infinity.

So the answer is yes, there must be aliens, and several of them must be calld loni2008, and quite a lot of them are looking at their computers right now reading this reply.
yes
I would agree with winebuyer if he was using the word MULTIVERSE instead of universe.
IN our universe we cant have more than a say 2000000000000000 planets with lifeforms this number is no infinite but is twenty quadrillion. The number of chances for another person like me elsewhere is INFINITY.
btw The multiverse i hypothetical and consists of billions of universes like and unlike ours.

Sorry for that I should have used the word innumerable instead of billions.
