teachers on strike

got letter to day to say no school next Thursday for my son the teachers are on strike ....why are they on strike ? wonder if it because they dont get enough holidays lol ,,

Where I live (birmingham) there are 2 strikes, the council workers and the teachers strike. Im not sure when the teachers stike will be, but the councils is the 23 and 24 april, not to mention there will be a teacher training day on 2 may!

my kids went back to school on the 5 April they had yesterday off for a inset day ...now got this Thursday off strike .....:(

I dont remember having as much time off when I had to go to school, especially all the half terms ect

We went back on the 7th April too.
Only 2 of our classes will be off on Thursday as there are only 2 teachers who are a member of a union, so I guess Thursday will be a pretty easy day for me! :o)

Yes, Mr Funny who is a caretaker, has got the day off!!

The teachers are striking for more money!!

Apparently their pay is really low and Mr Funny says he earns more than them!!!1
