I suppose shes been out of the news for a couple of weeks and has to saty something.

What next, sue the hotel for not having a camera installed in the room and a laptop on the restaurant table so they could watch their children while they slept?

It goes on to say she wanted to employ a baby listening service but none was available.

She says it in a TV programme to be shown next Wednesday at 8pm (ITV, I think)

Spaced is right at some point someone must say you left your kids and its your fault.

I mean all paces have a duty of care, but leaving your kids in the room on their own is sureley their repsonsibility and not the hotel?

If she DID ask them for this and was told they did not provide this service, why did she STILL go out for the meal???

I hate this woman with a passion.

From what I have read they didnt have baby listening services at the apartment where the mccanns stayed because it was too far out from the rest of the apartments where they did do the listening service. Also Mark Warner had a night time creche which the mccanns apparently decided not to use because it cost too much money (about 10 quid an hour) and because they werent sure the creche was trustworthy (or words to that effect) yet they trusted it enough to leave their 3 kids there almost all day everyday. Some holiday for the babies eh?

I hope with all my heart that those involved in maddys disappearance (and imo the mccanns and some of their friends are included in this) get locked up for a very very long time.

That poor, poor child was so badly let down by the very people who should have protected her most. The thing I couldn't believe was when it was leaked out that Maddy said to her mother the day BEFORE she was taken (if she was, I have my doubts about those two)
"why did you leave us to cry last night, why didn't you come?" - In other words, if she knew her child/children had woken up whilst they were out, and she did it AGAIN the following night - they are beyond belief and if they'd have come from a run down council estate then I'm sure they'd have been put away for child neglect. They are not fit to be parents

hi rev, from what I read in one of the portuguese papers the PJ consider what they did extreme neglect. Over there neglect carries at least 2 years and neglect leading to the severe injury of death of a child carries up to 15 years I think. Hopefully they will be charged with this regardless of whether they are charged with poor maddies disappearance.

As a parent old fat Gerry spent more time on the tennis court than he did with his kids. You go on a family holiday to spend time with your kids not play tennis and leave them whilst out on the lash.

Pair of to55ers, I have no sympathy for either of them. However, I think the pain of waking up every morning knowing what they've done is punishment enough.
