Can anyone recommend a decent download site like the now defunct, Virgin Digital? I'm not looking for illegal downloads, am not interested in monthly subscriptions, and enjoy a more diverse range than is available on Amazon. I'm just looking for a site from which I can download individual tracks and the occasional album. Thanks in advance.
The software is legal and so is backing up your software.
The rest is up to you but it's unlikely you will get a policeman breaking down the door and arestring you for it, just don't tell everyone!
How do people get caught on these peer to peer networks? I heard you 're fairly safe if you download but keep your upload folder empty. Not really in the spirit of things but saves a hefty fine.
yup limewire. get it for free, plus you're doing the music industry a favour. money doesn't go to the big corporations who stiffle creativity of new bands and artists.
If musicians don't get massive payments from record sales they'll need to go on tour more and work like real people. if yhey're not into that then they're probably not into the music they usually churn out in the recording studios and would probably be better off retiring!
