Limewire

Whenever I try to download a song - it goes to Play.exe; what is wrong and how can I download anything, i never used to have any trouble. I click on the green download button and nothing happens and then Play.exe appears, so I leave:

Not fully sure what your saying... but i was told that exe (execution) files are dangerous as they alter your operating system or contain some sort of virus or trojan so best to leave them alone... if you have a exe file suggest you delete it. I have the beta version of limewire but i can't remember any green download button? I simply double clicked on a song etc...

Try Downloading Frostwire as it is a better site for downloading free songs

I'm surprised no one bothered to mention that many mp3 files on limewire redirect you to a website that tries to make you download something called play.exe . I haven't bothered to download it to see what it is, but I doubt it would be healthy for granny's computer. These files appear to be the correct size, but have a play time of like 13 seconds, so if you're not showing the correct column in limewire, you may end up with this."

So, you're best bet is probably moving from LimeWire to an alternative. Or simply use iTunes Store?

Best place is Limewire my son's been using it for a couple of years but i saw *just above*, Frostwire, so i downloaded it, its no better, infact its the absolute same diff color lol so go with Limewire like 99.5% of us
