I was reading today that there is a new type of tomato coming to the UK, black in colour and is used as an aphredisiac in the caribean, but can anyone tell me what recipes these can be used in and can they be used like red tomato's?

The variety is "Kumato"
*I started to write "they are called Kumatoes" but I didn't want to get into the plural argument....)
They are supposedly available at Sainsbury's (exclusively?)
The variety is developed by a company that sells only to commercial growers, so you can't get them for your home garden
I think the aphrodisiac thing is urban myth. They were developed to be super sweet. Yes, you can use them however you use red tomatoes.
