This years wasp

Is it just me or have wasp gotten a whole size bigger since last year?

no bobby they are gmf!!! what about the bees i have heathrow airport going on in my carport, they are going in thru the air vent!!!

You may see a lot of queen wasps at this time of year looking to establish a new colony - they are considerably larger....

Aha .. a wasp Q ..I am pleased ...I thought it was too early for wasps but I had a load in the garden the other day .Whoppers they were too. Mind you we did chop down an old bush and all of a sudden out they came .I was wondering if we had disturbed a nest . I am OK with bees but wasps ...Ugh ....and I'll swear one of the blighters stung me .

I agree Bobby, quite a few of them are big bu ggers and they are definitely alot louder too.

We have a flowering cherry tree in the front drive, it reaches up to the bedroom window and harbours loads of these wasps, attracted to the blossom. The ones that come in the window are quite scary.
