What names of your own do you have for weather?
In our family we have:
Night clouds - on relatively bright days when dark clouds come from the west at dusk bring the 'night' with them
No Weather Day - when there is 'no' weather no rain, no wind, no sun, no clouds, no snow just that blank even grey sky.
Daffodil Day - those bright spring days when there is warm sun, blue sky and scudding clouds and the daffodils should be making their appearance at any minute.

I spent my childhood thinking that this was why it got dark at night .... thanks to my dad ..... another local phrae is to say " it's a bit black over Bill's mothers" I have no idea who Bill is, or his mother for that matter, but it describes when a storm is approaching but is some way off...... and the clouds are "as black as a bag" We also refer to the position of the sun in (I think) November time, as "car crash light" ..... the kind of days where the sun is very low and usually orange/yellow light stops you from seeing properly.
