camping

just been to have place that sells tents and all camping stuff it was really busy ....do you like camping ? i love it been going for the past 36 years my kids also love it ...if you dont like it why or have you never done it ?

I've never been camping, but I really don't think I'd like it. I guess I'm too high matinence, I wouldn't like not being able to have a shower and blow dry my hair. And I'm not one for being involved with nature or getting dirty. This is why I have never been to a festival, would love it other than the slumming it part!! I need a bed and bathroom!!!

far enough misty ,,,but most camp sites do have shower blocks and loos ...and electric points so you can dry your hair .

camping is really good fun,as we go to loads of motor racing meetings and nearly always camp. brands hatch last year was fun. nothing like the great outdoors

We used to go camping a lot right from very basic cub camp with the boys when they were small (believe me it was basic). But sleepy is right mistys - camp sites have showers, laundry facilities, club rooms and all sorts nowadays. Even tents are very upmarket now!

i think a lot of people are going camping now in the last few years ...think some just do it as a weekend get away not as a main holiday ,,,we have a 12 man tent really big ,,

I've just remembered we did go camping once when I was about five, the only memory I have is of a really big storm, maybe that's why I'm put off?!

So if they have all these facilities, it's not really camping as such. Just the sleeping part being in a tent. Hmmm, I'm still not convinced, I wont be camping anytime soon. Just not for me.

Is this what George Micheal got done for in that toilet in LA ?

A couple of years ago while on vacation in the US. I did the stars home tour of LA. The guide pointed out the famous toilet where he got nicked. It looked like a very toilet block.

Actually Knoby i have done a lot of camping, but as you get older and the old back won't bend as well as it used to, it gets quite problematic, for instance, i can't put my socks on unless I'm sat on a chair, that is why we now have a caravan, still camping as far as I'm concerned, although we have our own loo , and shower , blown air heating etc, so we can and do use it all year round, but having said that we are beginning to favour the caribean in winter.

Camping, hmmmm! I don't think I'm cut out to be the camping type. I gave it a go though in my back garden ne summer with the kids. I think it was after watching Lenny Henry in the jungle somewhere & I thought it looked good lol!!! So, we took our king size mattress out in to this tent somebody gave us, must of been there about an hour when I thought I could feel something crawling on my leg, anyway, we all ended up crashing on the living room floor and settee, it was too late too start messing with all the bedding!!! No, not a camping person! xxx
