And I would like to sue you for damages for the unnecessary stress that the tone of your question caused. And also for compensation for the medical expenses incurred for the treatment of Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI) I received whilst typing out the answer to your unsolicited question.

Despite all the publicity about compensation culture the Government knows the truth is otherwise. Download the 2003-2004 review to the Court Service Annual report and Accounts at http://www.courtservice.gov.uk/about_us/our_performance/ annual_report_03_04_contents.htm
and you will find the statistics in Annex E which show the number of claims issued in the County Court has dropped every year from 1997 onwards, and from 1,959,958 to 1.283,491. The number of Appeals, and of High Court Cases are also down substantially so that shows litigation is down by one third!!!

I was disappointed that no one else responded to your question. Perhaps my answer was too categoric, but it is nice to see that a study compiled by Datamonitor, reported in today's media, finds that personal injury claims are not increasing.
