In Janary ITV bosses said no more soaps on Sunday - viewing will be 'family orientated' and make weekend tv 'feel special'.

This coincided with Dancing on Ice being moved to Sunday, followed by 'Beat the Star when Dancing on Ice finished.

Guess what is back on Sunday? Coronation Street - and back to one episode on Friday.

in the central region the coronation street omnibus is on saturday mornings, in what would once have been the "tiswas" slot - which seems to me to be strangely appropriate.
