You usually need to have 3-6 treatments and most clinics charge for a course of treatment. You are looking at about 400 for 6 sessions.
Most people can have Laser Hair Removal, except those with ethnic skintones, as the laser works by targeting the pigmentation in the hair. It usually cannot distinguish between differences in skin and hair pigmentation, so may cause burning of the skin. However, a different type of machine called a "Long Pulsed Nd:YAG Laser" can be used for darker skin, but I'm unsure as to how effective this is.

Hi, i am an experienced laser therapist. Laser is not permanant hair removal! It is permanant hair reduction! It will reduce the hairs in the area, but results will largely depend upon both your skin and hair colour. In my experience i have seen best results on those patients whose skin is fair in colour and whose hairs are dark and thick. I would recommend that you go to a reputable clinic for a consultation and skin patch test. And remember dont be cheap! Its worth spending that little bit extra to know that you are in safe hands at a reputable saon! And check that the clinic and laser therapist are both registered with the healthcare commission.
