hi i am 6 weeks pregnant. have been tying for a few years and finally got my positive tests 2 weeks ago. i have been experiencing sharp pains in the lower left of my stomach and have been slightly concerned. has anyone else had these pains. they are not constant. and not very very painful but enough to know they are their.
Don't wish to be an alarmist jojo but think you ought to get this checked out just because of a remote possibility it could be an ectopic (tubal) pregnancy. Probably there are no problems but better be safe than sorry.
It could be implantation pains but to be on the safe side you should ring either NHS direct ot the Early Pregnancy Unit at your maternity hospital.Don't ignore it as it could be something that needs medical intervention.Good luck and I hope you get it sorted out.x
Chances are its the ligaments stretching to accommodate that little bundle inside your tum that's causing the pains. Hopefully you are not bleeding or in any acute pain? If so, like yogasun mentioned, it would be a good idea to contact your GP/Midwife and get things checked out....and it'll put your mind at rest. Let us know how you get on!
thanx guys. no their is no bleeding. thank god. it comes and goes. but when i rest it seems to go away. i contacted my fertility nurse and am waiting to hear back so will keep u posted. x
Hi JoJo, I, too, would think they are implantation pains - are they like mild period pains? I felt pains like period pains around 6weeks, it went on for about 2 weeks if I remember rightly.
Hope you heard back from the nurse, and everything is ok xx
hi there nurse called back and reckons its the same, also stretching. feeling alot better today anyway, so all is fine. i have my 7 week scan next tues, which is very exciting. thanx for your comments :)
