Safety in Egypt
I'm thinking of going on holiday to Sharm-el-Sheikh this summer with my kids. Is anyone aware of any terrorism problems there at the moment or anything that would put us at risk?

Personally I'd agree with Norman & keyplus. Your life is as much at risk driving to your local supermarket.

It is better to take precautions but sometime all these home office advices are based on Stay home, avoid every thing. They scare you so much and you only find out if you are brave enough to ignore it. I will just give you one example read all this.

All these people who gave their verdict about Pakistan on the basis of media and home office advice did not know that I am from Pakistan myself. I go there every year and have seen nothing like this there, but I was interested in By road information on how to get there. And before you say something else. My wife is white English, where ever she went in Pakistan she got so much love and respect that now she is more eager to go there than I am (cost money). Trust me no one killed her.
Have a lovely time.

I came back from sharm this morning it felt completely safe to me - you have to think if you let terrorism beat you - you wouldnt go anywhere as the world is affected all over by terrorism so just go - there were loads of kids and families there - be warned though temperature can hit 50 in the summer - it was between 35 and 42 last week and they said it just gets hotter
