Talking to an Italian in my office today it seems that this information is generally available but normally you have to fill in a form and jump through hoops to get it.

Seems someone thought it would be a good idea to make it all easily available on-line resulting in everybody idlly browsing through everyone's records!

I think that's what my company would euphemistically call a "career limiting mistake"
No it is an infringment of civil liberties.
It may not be if the information is in the public domain already!
I find the whole concept of 'privacy' totally abhorrent. In my personal Utopia, everyone would be born on camera (with the images accessible by everyone), die on camera and be monitored by cameras throughout every moment of their life. That means that I should be able to watch anyone and everyone defecating, fornicating and doing anything else that they do. (Similarly, everyone else should be able to watch me). All bank records (except security details, such as PINs) should be freely accessible, as should all tax records, medical records, criminal records, etc. I hate privacy and I'll do anything possible to destroy it.

Buenchico if we did this they will put up the tv licence fee again and there would have to be a lot more channels
