we've been screwed over

since december my boyfriend and i have co-owned a bar in our city centre.due to delays with getting our publicans licence sorted out we were promised by 'friends' who took on the nightclub above us that they would help us out till ours came thru.yesterday we found out from our council that they totally screwed us over and have renewed their licence minus our bar.(they used to be all in the same name).so we have to close our doors for the next couple of weeks.insult to injury it's a bank holiday weekend and we had a big night planned for 2mrw night.we're so angry .one guy is a particular mate .and the thought that he's let the other 2 guys in their partnership do this to us is so so disappointing.we were so open to working together with them to bring people to our end of town and they've done this to us. we've tried to think of ways round it just for tomorrow night really so we don't have to cancel .(we're not in it for the money.we want to give people a venue that's a bit different and a top night out.shame the guys upstairs have resorted to dirty tricks.) anybody know of a loophole out of this.selling raffle tickets for drinks,etc.
