Digital Camera-which one?
7 Answers
I am not interested in phography but need a digital camera to snap photos of the family, put onto my computer and send to friends. My mobile does not have a camera.
I would only use it for this purpose so can anyone tell me what to buy? Thanks

A very simple one to use which is light and compact with good battery life is what most people want.
This is a good review website with prices and links

If you have got an Asda near by they have one advertised on the T.V 8 meg pixels for 50. It is Fugi if I remember. They said you can buy this for 99 at Jessops or 50 at Asda. I would be tempted if I needed to get another.
I also saw an advert for Currys on the T.V last night. They were advertising a Samsung one for about 69.99 I think it was 8 meg pixels. They said this offer only lasts a short while.

8 megapixels is a lot if all you want is snaps - it creates big computer files that are slow to email. (Though some cameras may have the option to reduce the degree of resolution.) 4 or 5 is plenty. Have a look through these:

Something like a Sony Cybershot or Canon Ixus will probably be fine. go for something small and light and easy to slip into your pocket.
