Ok, so I was loving the Phil Collins gorilla advert, but whats going on witht he new Cadbury advert witht he trucks at the airport??? Here is the link if you haven't seen it, but can someone tell me what it's all about please?
I dont think its about the trucks and luggage as such, i think its about just having such a space to drive as fast as you want, race and just totally be a guy with your fav transport, glass and a half enjoyment, does that make any sense ?
It's your own fault really. The viewing public have given encouragement to advertisers to create commercials with no discernible link to the product by praising such drivel as the "gorilla" ad.
It certainly was entertaining, and as a piece of filmed entertainment it stands on its own merit, but as an advert it fails on so many levels.
It is forever known as the "Cadbury Gorilla" advert - fine if it was meant as an exercise in brand awareness - but what percentage of the public actually remember it was an advert for Dairy Milk?
You have also called this newest ad "Cadbury"; no mention of the actual product it is meant to increase the sale of.
...indeed so obvious that the advertising creatives have no need to make a commercial with any bearing to the product. So what was your original question again?
