This "Magic Road" In Ayr...
8 Answers
This probably doesn't go in this section, but it's technically a puzzle so... Didn't there used to be a Places section? Anyways...
I've heard about this road in Scotland, Near or in Ayr where by you park your car on the hill and you magically move up it instead of rolling down it. A friend from work just came back from Ayr and told me about it, and I've seen it on TV and stuff in the past. So it does exist!
My parents are going up to Ayr in 2 weeks and don't believe me, but it's real!
Unsurprisingly, typing "Magic Road" into google doesn't bring up any specific results.
Has anyone else heard of this road?
Have a link to a website about this road?
Believe me?
Cheers.

Hi,
I know the Electric Brae well and have tried it out often since I was a child. Apart from switching off the car engine and having it run the opposite way it should. If you have a glass lemonade bottle put it on the ground and watch it oll uphill. I don't know if it will work with plastic bottles as we always used grass. It is a fascinating place, even if it is not electric, magnetic or magic.
