If my kids' futures weren't sorted, I'd be worried sick about how they were going to get on the property ladder one day, and basically just survive. I'm told that you can still buy small terraced places in the "not so nice" areas of London, that, once done up'll probably bring in a good return, but then as I say, other areas are getting more expensive now as well. Still think it's a good idea to buy in London though. I've known people to make massive profits which's enabled them to move abroad into property which'd be unthinkable here.

What I miss is the brown butteries we had for breakfast can't get them at all here only thing that is nearest are crossoints but I know I can send for them but took lots back and froze them . Simmers butter and abernethy biscuits I can get ,plain bead I can get but not the same as when my mother used to send me to bakers for one and I would have the sides half stripped off and eaten as it was still hot. And haggis a tip always boil it in foil in case of it bursting.I have been left Scotland 40 years and still have my burns night parties for my friends and they are all English and they love it.
