Nice enough morning , lovely and relaxed, then my son's GF decides she might be quite ill, and she mentioned she had a strange rash on her face and neck. I took her straight to A & E cos I am a drama queen apparently!!! But they immediately gave her an intravenous anti-biotic and tested for meningitis, (apparently they have to grow a culture over a couple of days) poor kid has to stay in at least overnight or observation. I've just got in and my son is shattered with the sitting around! I mention it here, because it is only though all the stuff i have read in Body and Soul over the last few years that made me worry! Potentially, yet again, AB does a proper job!!!

the TV/phone thing hanging over her bed was bust too, and i paid 3,50 for a card for it grrrr
Tomorrow will be brighter Dot
waves, hello dotty

Wow, It wouldn't enter my head to go to hospital for a rash on myself or indeed another adult -Mini Boo yeah, but not an adult.

Hope she's better soon.
Hope everything is alright, dot, you can't really take any chances with something like that. Hospital TV/phones are a rip-off but they have a captive audience don't they?
yes hospital TV and the phone are a rip off!, not to mention the meagre food portions!

hiys sir.prize
She's 19 B00 and at UCLAN and so it seemed the right thing to do! Poor girl has a law exam tomorrow too but she''ll not be sitting it, the doc at the hospital said it was unlikely she would be well enough even if she is discharged tomorrow.
Hi Dot hun , I hope your sons gf is going to feel better soon , she is no doubt in good hands and I hope the tests are negative and she will be home before long :-) xxx

Thanks BM, she is in the M.A.U. but there is a middle aged bloke in the next bed and she was not feeling good about anything when we left, though i know she is in the right place if anything develops. She's allergic to penicillin but they gave her a low strength penicillin intravenously, which seemed kinda odd but they must have known what they were doing
i once waited from 2am to 8am in a&e terrible night/morning
Dotty, hope she gets well and be soon out of the hospital.

What a great Mum-in-law you are! You always seem to be taking care and doing something nice for her. Hope she's good and grateful to you for all that you do for her.
