i have a telephone number but i want to search who owns it, address etc. does anyone know a site that does this?

You cannot do it legally.

Reverse look-up for phone numbers is not possible unless you are either a policeman or a member of the security services doing it on official business.

oh right, it wasn't anything dodgy I just wanted to know which call centre has been ringing me. how annoying that they have our numbers and our details but we can't see theirs!

have you tried typing the number into Google? I've found this works sometimes. Worth a go.

i did try that smudge, thanks, but no luck. i think its a premium rate number so they ring you and the idea is that you ring them back to find out who's calling and then get a huge phone bill. oh well, never mind. i won't be ringing them back.
