Registering a New Number Plate with DVLA
Very simple question
I have purchased a private registration plate from the DVLA. I have received the V750 form and signed it.
I wanted to go to the local DVLA office to save time rather than posting this - my question relates to the tax disc on my car - the instructions are anything but clear.
I understand you need to bring your MOT and Registration Certificate - but it is not clear over the tax disc.
I cant drive to the DVLA and take my tax disc out whilst my car is parked on the street.
So do they need the tax disc? Or fdo they have all the records they need on the computer or should I provide a photocopy?

I did the same thing recently. They will give you a new tax disc and an envelope for you to return the one you have on the car within 14 days (or sooner if you use your new numberplates).
