How many passengers boarded the Titanic on its maiden voyage? (Is there a definitive answer to this as most places I have looked list a different number? Remember also that a number(?) of passengers appeared to have disembarked at Cherbourg).

No one knows for certain how many people were lost at sea but all the known facts are here.

Thank you for this but it doesn't give me what I am looking for. I require the total of the passengers that boarded at Southampton, Cherbourg and Queenstown irrespective of whether any of them disembarked at Cherbourg. Also, could I rely on this Website being the most accurate - the numbers are certainly at variance with most other sources.
