display and printing problems
I'm doing the family tree with the Sierra software from RD. When I try to get a chart the boxes come out black. The help menu says I have to change the settings of the printer to Vector instead of Raster graphics. I'm using an hp psc 2179 all-in-one printer. I can find nothing in the manual that tells me how to do it. In fact, the only 'help' I can get supposes that I have a Mac computer. I am on XP pro. Please can anybody help?.

You can insert notes, and add pictures. You will also be able to pass it to anyone, and to any country. I have sent eight copies to France, and one to Germany. Most people have microsoft office, so have excel. Open office can be obtained off the Internet for free.
Thank you irovert for this information. I have been doing the family tree now for a number of years and have about 250 people on it. I don't fancy changing everything over. Although I haven't done it yet I can put photos on too. Funnily enough it is only one side of the family that gives me this difficulty, the other side is perfectly normal and the colours showing on the screen are the colours I get on the printout.
All the same thank you for your input. I may have to resort to that in the end.
