Has anyone been watching the new tv show LOST?

Could it be that everyone on the island is already dead, and they are stuck in some sort of purgatory? What do you all think.

Possibly, though I'm fairly sure that the producers have said that they are on Earth somewhere.

Here's one theory: You change/become one of the Others after you die. Locke has been dead all along (remember the black eyes in episode one, the first time we see him he's lying on his back and now he can walk).

There is some type of being reborn theme and that's why They want Claire's child because being born the first time on the island rather than being reborn by the island is somehow more special/powerful. Remember the psychic telling Claire she has to be the one to raise the child and no one else can because the child is in danger.

The psychic went so far as to use his powers to put her on a plane he knew would crash thinking it would force her to raise the child but not knowing (psychic powers can only go so far and the island is strong) that the crash is exactly the thing that puts her baby in danger.

Charlie is now also dead, he was revived by the island, not Jack, and his amnesia has something to do with being dead and changing and not being able to remember the steps up to death (maybe there is some ritual).
