haha I'm not that daft it's just H seems to think the net is affected if lightening strikes the telepohne wires.

His pc was knocked out some years ago while he was on the net. It makes him nervous. We have wireless connection. Not sure about the other stuff.

As stupid as it seems the answer to this is YES.
I just heard some rumbling thunder in the distance a few minutes ago.If it gets any nearer I think I'll switch off my PC just in case.It's better to be safe than sorry.
Haven't heard it yet as I'm typing this,so I'll stay on AB for a little while longer.
It's lightning and thundering quite loud now,so I'm going to switch off my PC any minute before something else sparks!
Blimey, i just heard a loud roar of thunder.

The only thing my dog is scared of is the hoover and his brush. Runs for cover at the sign of both.
