lap top burns my legs

It was in the news last year I believe. But as I said earlier I use a cushion when using a laptop. I don't have one but my friend does so I rest it on one. She doesn't let her 7 year old use it directly on her lap though.

i once read where it's not a good idea for men to rest them on their laps. it could make them sterile or kill off their sperms. something to this effect, don't recall the exact wordings.

I wouldn't use a cushion - it will probably block the airflow. Better to use one of those 'tea trays', the kind you use for TV dinners, they have a solid top (for the airflow) and a bean bag base for your lap. Otherwise go with sleepyj's suggestion.
