To officially join up with the A&N Department (Pets Section). I went to view some kittens today (fully intending to adopt a ginger male kitten....lol) and am now the proud owner-to-be of two female cats, neither of whom are kittens nor ginger...
I fell in love with an 8 year old tabby and a 1 year b&w .................................................. who both entranced me with their nature, attitude and cuddliness (is that a real word ?). The 8 y.o. was so laid back, placid and easy going that we clicked straight away. She also looked like she really needed to be in a real home environment, not a cat shelter, poor wee thing... The b&w was miss curiosity herself and ended up in my arms - great fun ahead I think !

Just like to share a story a lady had sent to a woman's magazine a year or two ago (true story).
She had gone to a foreign country for a holiday (can't remember where) and saw a sickly kitten lying in the gutter. Being an animal lover, she took the kitten back to her holiday accommodation, sought vet's help for it, nursed it, fell in love with it, arranged to take it home with her, and paid quarantine bills. This lady spent over a thousand pounds in total on this little kitten.
She ended her story by saying that she had just buried him, after 18 years living with her, being completely spoiled, and enjoying a lovely life in the countryside. She mentioned that she would do it all again.
Thought it was a lovely story .... brought tears to my eyes.
