Nasty habit - Eating my inpetigo crusts
12 Answers
Ok so this isnt a joke, I developed this really nasty habit a year or so ago when i developed pretty bad eczema on my legs which got badly treated mainly because I lived too much of a busy life to get it sorted. Anyway i developed impetigo infections which kept coming back and i started eating the yellowy crusts, god knows why it just sorta happened.
Now i'm worried what it'll do to me. I never swallowed them whole more like bit them between my bottom and top incisors. Can it kill me or anything? I have a slightly suppressed immune system but in good health generally. Please give me serious answers and not stuff like 'you sick weirdo' or something :P. Thanks and sorry if this sickens you.

I got some anti-biotics for it but since i have a suppressed immune-system it doesn't take much for infections to return, i went 4 months without it then it's back.
But my main worry was was eating the crusts would do something seriously bad to my body, like kill me or something? give me some disease? thanks jane.

i don't know if it will harm you inside but impetigo is very contagious so if you plan to kiss anyone maybe think twice
