i knocked a car on its side at about 3 mph. theres was no visible damage. now the owner is saying i caused damage to the underneath of the car. is this possible? it sounds like they are having me on
working in a bodyshop i can assure you its extremely rare to repair underneath/floors in accident conditions. Especially with such a light impact .Possibly sill repairs but any floor repairs are usually solved with a few taps of a hammer. Due to not being seen and covered in underseal no cosmetics / paint are required . One thing must be remebered though with the use of so many plastic bumpers sill covers etc. after impact they pop back into shape often hiding the damage to the panel behind.
