hi can anyone tell me where to get a recepie for a golden christmas cake i dont want a christmas cake thats too dark... i seen on delia smiths site for christmas cake can i alter any of the ingredients to make it golden rather than dark?? thanks in advance x x x

Miggy21 - Dont know who this Paul Young fella is but I have been making a very similar cake for Christmas for around 15 years and I can recommend it. I have always marzipaned and iced it in the normal way tho but using the white marzipan. I also have a favourite recipe that uses the darkest ingredients, figs, dates, prunes, black treacle and topped with whole nuts and glazed. The 2 together offer great alternative choices for Christmas teas.
