Not always! On radio 5 the presenters have shown complete animosity towards the Iraq war, either before during or since. Although once we are involved in these conflicts it would be disrespectful to criticize our troops in the field.

I've been given a report to write. My question is, Left wing bias or painful truth? Evaluate the BBC coverage on British Military operations, in the context of global terrorism and weapons of mass destruction.
so you weren't given the option of 'rightwing bias'? I guess that shows your teacher's own bias.

Anyway, you'll have to watch some BBC TV coverage before you can answer this one. You should be able to look up their written coverage in the archive on their website, which will help. My guess is it will turn out pretty middle-of-the-road, with a stance somewhere between al-Jazeera (Arab-oriented) and Fox (rabid rightwing US network).

Remmber to distinguish between news coverage and the opinions put forward by guests who appear on analysis programmes.
