c:\recycler

I have 4 viruses (trojan horses) in the above folder, which is a hidden one. AVG cannot cure them! I have located the C:\ RECYCLER folder by unchecking "hide protected operating system files", but do not know what to do then! I don't want to delete the whole file for fear that something important in is it!!

 

Any ideas gratefully recieved!

Get Ad Aware SE Professional and Spybot- Search and Destroy. They are free and you can download them from the internet but i cant remember the url's for them. They should find and kill off all 4 of the *******.

start>control panel>system>system restore>

tick 'turn off system restore on all drives' - ok it -it will give a warning just 'ok' it

now run AV.once complete,untick the box and youre done

Try and just empty your recycle bin. I may be wrong, but I think C:\Recycler is the recycle bin for your c drive, which would seem to imply that there should be a d:\recycler as well. If there isn't, just ignore me, I go away after a while!
