Spectacles

I've managed to get a scuff-scratch on one lens of my spectacles.
It's really distorting my vision and I've given myself a headache........

Does anyone have any DIY remedies that I might try to remove or reduce the mark ?

I would go and get them polished if I were you, there used to be a technique using toothpaste but they can easily cause more damage than repair.
