why do i recieve the same email twice.for some reason each time i recieve some emails i get duplicates.i id get the odd one like that but there seem to be more coming in duplicate.any ideas.

Do you have two or more mail accounts with your service provider? Many people when they mass mail just send their 'joke' to all in their address folder/book. This way you will get it twice.

I suffer this problem when the host mail server fails to complete sending a batch of e-mails to me. Whenever I try to access the mail again, I get another duplicate set sent, until the server manages to send the complete batch.

It can be very annoying, since I end up with multiple copies of e-mails and I know that the system has failed to deliver all my mail.

I don�t know of any way of fixing this problem (it�s not my server), which occurs around once a month.

For some unknown reason, (Virgin?), batches of messages fail becasue there is one or more so big it takes too long to download. This causes dupcation, tripication sometimes. However, eventually all msges arrive satisfactorily.
If you install free Mailwasher this wil llst all messages which are ready to be rec'd and you may well see one very big file, a Realplayer one perhaps, which could impede the flow of messages.
You can delete such msges in Mailwasher, leaving the rest to arrive pronto.
