i have a granny and a nanny... the nanny is still going at 86 so i think they live longer
I had a Grandma and a nanna. I think Grandma sounds older which ios why my ex mother law wanted nannie, no way did she want to be a granny. I like Grandma better though to be honest.
I use Grandma, Nanna and Nanny. It's just what they prfer. Also it suits them, my Grandma is very Grandma like whereas my Nanna, well she is a pain the butt ;o)

I also call one of my Grandad's, Grumps too. Well that along with some other things, but only Grumps to his face!!
Mine have always been "nan", both my grandads died before I was born but are always referred to as grandad.
Mine were Granny and Nanny or Nana. My husband thought 'Nanny' very posh, as in the Julie Andrews sort of nanny!
