Ticket Scam Warning!
I am the 'victim' of a scam and wanted to warn others about this. I won some West End theatre tickets on eBay a few weeks ago. The transaction went very well, but when we went to the theatre last night (a journey of 2 hours) we were told that the tickets were duplicates. The theatre staff said this happens quite often - the original purchaser of the tickets had reported their non-arrival (by post) to the ticketing agency, who then issued a second set. The original tickets must have either been intercepted in the post or perhaps had been sold by the original purchaser. My eBay seller had obviously also been conned when she bought the tickets. The result of this was that we were turned away from the theatre and you can imagine how angry we are about this. My seller is an honourable person and has said she will refund my money.
Has anyone else suffered from this type of fraud?

Most of the sellers are honest and honerable but there are the minority who ruin it for everyone else. Are you sure your seller is not the one that has conned you and has lied to you? I would be very wary. My brother bought some games for his ps2 from a guy and paid by paypal, anyway, to this day he has not received a thing! He has reported it to e-bay but they have'nt done a thing. So he's been conned out of around 40!
A Couple of years ago i paid for some tickets to see someone at wembley and by the day i still had'nt received them in the post, i called the ticket office and they told me that they had sent them to me. They offered to issue duplicate's to me on the day at wembley and sure enough when i got there, the duplicates were issued to me. To this day i still don't know what happened to them, they were probably stolen in the post and someone tried to sell them on. Whoever bought them must have encountered the same as you. Glad that you will be refunded.
