Cats train their owners, silly, not the other way around.

I must go - my master wants another piece of roast beef.

The best way to keep the cat off the table while you eat is to shut it in another room.
The best way to stop it from overeating is to stop overfeeding it.
Positive reinforcement of existing behaviours is the only way to 'train' 'tricks'.
putting a harness & lead on whilst still a kitten & bribeing & or playing to get movement in the desired direction may eventually get results - it seems to depend very much on the breed & temprament of the individual cat. Be prepared to carry cat as required! lol - good luck.
Train a cat, you must be joking.I'ts you who will have to be trained lol g.
I agree with Wolf69 and garner.

Someone bought me a plaque which reads:-

It's been said that the training procedure for cats is difficult.
It isn't.
Mine had me trained in two days.

If you want to train something I think you should have got a dog or a man lol.
You never said you had a cat, powell11. That puts a whole new light on things, if your mum agrees to let you have a dog.
