I'm 18, and wondering if anyone could tell me if it's possible that I could still grow. If so, then how can I improve my chances of it. Vain I know, but I'm really short for my age.

If you are 18, the chances are, you've done all the growing you will ever do, as your bones growth plates have probably closed by now, so no room for further growth.

Genetic dictates that some men will never grow to 6 feet or above and the average height of men in the UK is 5'8". You just have to make the most of things and don't let it take over your life. It really isn't that important.
It isnt vain euan and velvetee is right we are all different shapes and sizes and thats what makes the world a better place.

Try doing stretching exercises.

ah well, Thanks for the answers.. And your right, it isn't such a big deal. Might try the stretches though, I guess those will be good for your muscles either way (right?)
How good is your posture? If you are used to being slumped over a desk writing, the spine tends to curve over and the chest hollow. inwards. This can make you appear shorter - so sit up straight! Seroiusly, doing some form of exercise to correct your posture will help. There are plenty of taller people who don't like thier stature and deliberately hunch over. Some examples that will help are various martial arts, if you are keen on that sort of thing, or Yoga or Pilates. My son started Tai Chi when he was 16, and it improved his posture no end.
Ps It can go the other way - shorter people (particularly men) tend to stick the chest out and hollow the lower back. Whatever height you are, the optimum to acheive is a straight spine.
Of course, I would most recommend Tai Chi! The way it is taught varies according to the teacher- from a full blown Martial Art (headbangers) to gentle exercise for older people (arm wavers)........
You don't say if you are male or female. Females have usually finished growing by 18 years old & males can carry on for a few more years up to 21 yo. And I second the good posture thing! It's important for so many reasons besides looking good. If you know the heights of your parents that may give you a guide to your eventual height. Adult height can also be predicted from height measurements at certain ages in childhood. As a 4ft 10 inches female I can tell you it's all relative! lol.
