Lots of recipes for smaller ones, (can i just use double a 6 inch?) and what about cooking times? Preferably Id like a 'lighter' cake, rather than a very dark rich one like a Christmas cake.

Surface area of 6" is 6 x 6 = 36

12" is 12x12 = 144

therefore you must multiply the ingredients by 4
