I think Club/Pub bans are the tipping point:

I think that's hilarious. You spend tens of millions pushing your brand as 'Designer/Upmarket', then the chavs take hold of it and it all goes to hell. What next? Posh people shopping in JJB Sports? The ultimate irony. Kate Middleton seen in a Trespass Trackie.

The missive attempts to bury the Prada ban in among other sartorial no-nos, but the name stands out clearly:
"Due to recent troubles regarding security issues at various venues in Manchester, Sugar Lounge will be enforcing a stricter dress code," it reads.
"This includes: No sportswear, hooded tops, Prada shoes, scruffy jeans or shoes. Jewellery must be discreet." So that presumably excludes the likes of the Beckhams.
Other venues too have enforced the clampdown. One source from a trendy bar told The Sun that it had banned Prada footwear because "it has taken over from Burberry as the must-have label for chavs".
Executives at Burberry may be breathing a collective sigh of relief now that yobs are appearing to favour another brand. Football fans were famously banned from clubs when wearing Burberry gear such as its check caps, which have become synonymous with hooliganism.
