My daughter phoned earlier to tell me she'd had a fight (verbal) with her Dad.

He wants her to leave school rather than stayin on till 6th form.

Her exams start tomorrow. He said if she doesn't get off the computer he's gonna smash it.

I think he's jealous of her intelligence as she can out argue him and he doesn't like it and ends up being abusive.

He told her that he didn't even want her before she was born.

How cruel is that?

;(

Thank you all very much for your comments.

I have nothing further to say.

It seems you all have your own opinions.

Thank you for your kind words.

Doc - I am glad they have turned out so well and happy. A credit to you no doubt.

I must admit me and the girls have been through tons of sh!t but they are great and I am a proud mum to both of them.
Good on you Sally. A wonderful thing being a parent.
I hope Banjo sorts things out.
Doc-Spock, it is terrible and he does want sorting out, but there is nothing anyone can do!
He has nothing, no furniture, no food, literally nothing!
But by living with him, it means she gets to spend all her time round her boyfriends house who from what I have seen is a drugged up useless pile off poo!
My sister & sister in law have done all they can to try and get her back, but because she is now 16, it is up to her!
And instead of living in a loving household, she refuses to come back as it means living by the rules!
Well I am a knackered parent now - so shut eye for me now!!

Night all - sleep well.
Sorry to hear that Wiggall. Sounds like he needs a wake up call relative to the best interests of his daughter.

Best wishes in your endeavours.
Everyone seems to be making assumptions about what BBs daughter is like.....I know from my own personal experiance that not all 16yr olds can be treated as 'children'...there are certainly huge variations in levels of maturity. What one 'child' will have difficulty coping with...another will learn asa life lesson and grow by leaps and bounds as a result.
pasta, im not making any assumptions, well, I dont intend to be!
I myself know there can be a big difference in maturity with different people!
A week before my 16th birthday i ran away from home for all of a week after an argument with my stepdad, yet a year and 2 weeks later, i was in the start of a long term stable relationship and had already planned to leave after my first year at college to get a full time job to start paying towards keeping a house!!
Yet some of my mates from when I was 16, are still acting like kids and doing what they like with no care in the world!
Wiggal-my daughter left when she was 16 also-she is now 22 and has lived either with boyfriends or-as now-in student housing.......she made her own descisions and is stronger for it. And-yes-I am proud as hell of her. I suspect BBs daughter is one of the strong uns.....she seems to know what she wants from life, and will do what she has to-education-to get it.
