Hay fever in dogs

Do you think dogs can suffer from this?

Yes they can. They can get allergies to many different types of grass and tree pollens, seeds and other plant allergens!

Yes they can. And you can safely give them one Piriton tablet (the same ones as we take). Don't give them any other type of antihistamine though unless your vet advises it.

Yup I think so. Tilly (jack russell) has been sneezing a bit recently and submerging herself in plants so I've been keeping an eye on it... I don 't mind sharing the tablets but I draw the line at sharing my inhaler with her!

My dogs sneeze very often, especially after stealing any food with something spicy in it!!

And cats sneeze loads too, as I suppose do most mammals. Elephants? ;o )

Lol! My pup sneezes at this time of year - after burying his head in all the plant life. I offered him a tissue but he legged it away with it and demolished it!! Ho hum!!! He now, being a sniffer dog; searches our pockets for tissues!!! And he will steal them away if he can!!! He's a funny lovable pup! Such is the life of doggie and doggie owner! What great companions they make. :o)

I have a doggie tissue thief too, alfieblue. Quite an embarrassment as he steals them out of other peoples wastebins as well. I have to then take them from his (yuk!). At 12 years old he should know better!!

Pup will steal from pockets - tissues etc - He gets his snout down and off he goes!!! Very embarrassing if we have visitors!!! Pup has to search them mega!!!

Lol! He could give Fagin from Oliver Twist a run for his money!!! Little tealeaf!!!! Treasures are buried in the garden somewhere! Ho hum!:o)
